Home of inclusive Adaptive Skiing in Northern Ireland
From Bangor to Lurgan and beyond, Ski Ability NI proudly serves communities across Northern Ireland. We are the only club in Northern Ireland offering adaptive skiing for individuals with intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, and physical disabilities such as limb difference or reduced mobility.
We welcome athletes from age 8 and up, supporting children, teenagers and adults as they discover the joy and freedom of skiing.
We’re a close-knit community of athletes, coaches and volunteers dedicated to promoting positivity, inclusion and empowerment through the thrill of skiing.

Inclusive Skiing for All
We adapt our coaching to each athlete. Whether skiing standing, seated, guided or using adaptive equipment such as sit-skis, mono-skis or outriggers, every person can enjoy the freedom of the slope safely and confidently.
Expert Coaching
Our Head Coach, Jill Coulter-Sloan MBE — who introduced adaptive skiing to Northern Ireland over 30 years ago — leads a dedicated coaching team who believe deeply in every athlete’s potential.
Special Olympics Pathways
We are proudly affiliated with Special Olympics Ulster, Special Olympics Ireland and Snowsport England, giving eligible athletes access to high-quality coaching, structured development and competition pathways.
A Supportive, Warm Community
Our athletes range from age 8 to adults in their 40s and 50s — each bringing their own abilities, strengths and personality to the slope.
